Chateau De La Rode

I 100% recommend Château de la Rode! It's magnificent, with a perfectly maintained garden, large rooms, and very comfortable bedding. The lovely owner bends over backwards to satisfy your every need. As for activities, you'll be truly spoiled with caves, waterfalls, and many other discoveries in the surrounding area.

Unforgettable Honeymoon at Château de la Rode. Thanks to Didier, who is an expert in explaining every inch of his estate. This place is magnificent and magical. Inside: The first journey through time and space with many memories of his travels. Outside, the perfectly maintained garden and swimming pool, the surrounding area (very beautiful hikes nearby), and the station cafe are not to be missed. Don't go- the owner cancelled our booking just before the arrival and charged us for the night we haven't stayed! We were doing a road trip across France in August 2020 and had 2 nights booked in this hotel. We were already 1.5 hours away from the place when the owner texted me and said that as we didn't arrive before 7pm he refuses to accommodate us. We called him and asked kindly if he can leave us the key somewhere but he was very aggressive and rude and told us that he cancels our reservation. No way we could expect this from an owner of a so-called 5 star hotel!!! Just to clarify that he hadn't contacted us before to ask what time we were planning to arrive. So we found ourselves in the evening in a very remote area with 2 young kids in the car having no place to sleep!! Moreover, the owner charged us for one night stay even if we haven't stayed at his place! I'm a frequent traveller but I've never seen anything like this before. Avoid this place at all costs
