Chateau De Rochegude

We loved our stay here. Our room was charming and pleasant. Actually, the whole chateau is quite charming. The sunsets and sunrises were beautiful over looking the surrounding valley. The staff were polite and helpful. The facilities were well cared for and maintained. We took a peaceful romantic walk around town. We really loved it here!!! Very relaxing......tranquil. The only little disappointment, we had, was we were hoping to get massages as a couple. However, we didn't schedule them ahead of time so there were no masseuse on site. We didn't know exactly what time we were going to arrive that day, so we didn't schedule and thought we would just sign up when we arrived. We were informed by the front desk, we needed to schedule days in advance. Next time, we'll know and schedule them ahead of time. We hope and plan to go back and stay longer. Enjoyed it!!!

Our stay was amazing. The castle is gorgeous, from the outside and in the inside. The menu served in the restaurant is really delicious and creative. The people are so kind and helpful. We definitely loved our stay.

I see all the recent bad reviews and I can't help feeling like it's a bunch of Karen's complaining. The castle is old, so it's French style shabby chic. Every is very clean, good bed and shower. Our dog was allowed everywhere. I do get the sense that they are severely understaffed, also at the restaurant. Food was good, but too expensive for what it was. Would sleep here again, but would go to the restaurant in de village next time.
