I absolutely LOVE this place!!! I went Chateau Mere for a weekend getaway with one of my girlfriends and it was absolutely superb. We got to experience true Georgian hospitality as the staff were extremely friendly and we also ended up making some friends by the magnificent pool. Our room had a private balcony and was very clean with clean sheets and I can not complain about the cleaning service either. The food was delicious, and the wine was out of this world!!! I wish I could have stayed longer and I will definitely be coming back :))))

Situated in the heart of Georgian “Sonoma valley”with breathtaking views of mountain peaks, Chateau Mere allows you to enjoy the best of Georgian nature without sacrificing an ounce of comfort for a very reasonable price. Artistic and stylish design, amazing food and incredibly attentive and very cool owners will guarantee you unforgettable holiday. It’s also an excellent option for a retreat, small conference or a workshop.

This happened a couple of years ago, but I just remembered it — and I think it deserves to be told. I visited this place for my birthday and stayed two nights with a friend. I had planned to buy a cake and have a little celebration, but when the staff found out it was my birthday, they kindly told me not to worry — they would take care of everything. “Don’t buy a cake,” they said, “we’ll surprise you tonight.” The next morning, they reminded me again: “Tonight the cake is on us.” I was genuinely touched. It felt thoughtful, generous, and personal — a beautiful gesture, or so I believed. But that evening, when I arrived for dinner, I waited... and waited. Finally, I saw the cake coming out — with music and smiles — but it wasn’t for me. It was served with flair to a group of foreign guests at the next table: an older lady and three men. I noticed the detail immediately — the cake had my room number written on it. That’s when I realized: they had given my birthday cake to someone else. Why? Because the other guests were foreigners. Because they thought it would earn them better tips, a good review, or maybe just a pat on the back. I sat there in disbelief. I didn’t say a word — I was too shy, too stunned. I kept waiting, thinking it was a mix-up. But no other cake came. Eventually, a waiter came over with a polite smile and said, “The kitchen is closing, but we’re gifting you your cocktail tonight.” That was it. That was their “gesture.” My birthday was quietly stolen from me — and served to someone more “valuable” in their eyes. So here’s my honest advice: Don’t be fooled by the sweet smiles and hollow promises. Behind the fake kindness is a place that chooses greed over integrity, and flattery over respect. Let this be a warning, don’t visit this den of sycophants, liars, and opportunists. They don’t deserve your trust — or your celebration.
