Chateau Monty Spa Resort

The management of this hotel will do pretty much everything they can to make your stay unpleasant. The buffet dinner was at the borderline of edibility (slightly worse than what you get in a state-run hospital or school canteen). Breakfast was OK. As part of our package we had a massage. However, upon arrival the receptionist informed us that the massage is booked for 9:00 am (i.e. breakfast time). We were told that we may be able to change it next morning but we have to come early and there is extra fee. After reading the other reviews we decided not to bother. Anyhow, rooms are clean but unfortunately went through a 90s style redecoration (paintings of semi-naked women are prevalent). The tap water in the whole hotel smells of mould. Spa/Wellness is surprisingly nice but please be aware that you will need to book a slot(but the staff will not tell you that you have to). They also charge 300,- per day for parking. Drinks are rather overpriced (90,- for Pilsner). To sum up, do not go to this hotel. The pictures may look pretty and the hotel looks nice from the outside but services are poor and the whole experience will leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Oh dear, where to start? Don't expect 4 stars. Go with a sense of humor and you might enjoy it. I felt so sorry for the staff, whoever manages this place needs a spanking. Seriously, hire more people! The "Keeper of the Sauna Towels" is a nervous wreck. Who hurt you? The Waitstaff...bless them. You just can't win if you're the only bartender for 100 people! The ONLY waitress at the "Live Music" event was running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but there is only so much one woman can do in a huge cocktail lounge. She tried her damndest! Sauna was nice, but dumb that you only get two hours and there is no assurance you will get a reservation at a normal time. But hey, it's free at 7am! You can hear the people in the room above you watching TV, chatting, turning the pages of a book... Anyway, someone needs to take over and rescue this poor place. It's not horrible (no bedbugs), but don't go there if you're used to 4 stars. Or even 3. Lower expectations and it could be ok.

DO NOT GO THERE! I’ve never though this type of spa resort hotel are exits. I do not understand why or how did they get 8.0 rating on booking.com and 4.1 on google. • The buffet: During the breakfast half of the bacons and the sausages were cold. And we found hair on the cheese plate. The dinner was also super bad. All the vegetables were taste like fish and smell like fish. •The Staff: they were very unfriendly and they do not know how to handle the complain I guess. The Good part: The venue and the surrounded area was really beautiful. They can do better and they should. The price that we paid and the service we get was unbelievable.
