Chateau Star River

I stayed at this hotel for one night during a brief visit to Taiyuan in July 2024. Firstly, two aspects stood out positively: the facilities were immaculate and appeared as elegant as shown on their website; and secondly, the rooms were very clean—something not always common in many hotels in this country, (even those with five stars). I paid 550 yuan for a room with two beds, but upon arrival, I found it to be much larger than expected. The room featured a spacious bathroom with plentiful amenities and a reading nook by the window. The room’s generous size significantly enhanced my overall experience. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the breakfast. It cost around 100 yuan (if I recall correctly) and offered a reasonable selection of items, but the beverage choices were limited. They provided many soft drinks but lacked a variety of other drink options, and only hot water was available, with no cold water provided. Overall, the quality of the food left something to be desired.

The house is large, clean and well-equipped, with a bathtub and shower, and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast restaurant is very large, and although it doesn't have many varieties, it has everything you need. Worth recommending👍
