Very good cocktails and food. The bar is great and it's a good meeting area for Island community members. I've had some many good times here. The service and drinks are wonderful and the fact you can visit a bar in the Island is amazing. If your on the Island and have some extra money it's definitely worth it.
Simply the best meal I've ever had. Green Goddess salad was phenomenal and the Pollock Schnitzel was unique and incredibly flavorful. The summer zucchini was a one-of-a-kind approach to the vegetable, and the unusual combination of flavors worked perfectly. One of the most unique and astounding restaurants I've ever attended. Prices match the setting, quality and ambiance, it is pricey, but it is well worth the overtime. Finished it off with Maine Blueberry Pie, a wonderful addition and conclusion to the meal. Our waiter, a younger gentleman whose name evades my consciousness was incredibly polite, accomodating, and wonderful. Overall, a stunning evening with wonderful food, great company and excellent ambiance. A must-go if given the wonderful opportunity to experience this superb and stellar dining escapade.
This is the Casco Bay Island experience I was looking for. So charming. The staff was the best I have experienced in a long time, and they really made my stay special. Food and beverage was excellent at every meal and every drink. I was lucky to meet the chef, and he is a real chef who makes excellent dishes and runs a gem of an island restaurant. By far the best food I’ve had on any island in Casco Bay and frankly some of the best anywhere in Portland. The oysters were among the very best and I was so in love with the mussels, I had to have them at every meal. They were definitely the best I’ve ever had. Among many other very fine, well executed dishes. The bar is extremely well run and the drinks are highly professional, exuding an island vibe that fits the setting perfectly. The head bartender is very experienced and provides some of the best bar service I’ve experienced in a long time, in addition to being an excellent conversationalist. The setting of this hotel is just gorgeous and I really appreciated the simple, authentic rooms, and leaving the windows open all night, which was delightful. It’s a short walk to a good swimming beach and the accommodating bell staff will take you anywhere you want to go. I recommend the walk from the hook over to Little Chebeaugue and back at low tide. On a sunny, clear day it is absolutely divine. I look forward to returning to the Chebeaugue Island Inn next summah!
