Great hotel and staff/team. We stay 5 or 6 weekends a year. Michele, hotel manager, is amazing! As soon as we walk in we are greeted like family. She remembers everything that is important to us from floor preference to extra towels. She always asks if we need anything. She is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, neat, and organized. Our home away from home. Sam and Dana
I stayed at the aloft on March 29-30 with my boyfriend. The room was nice clean and comfortable. We stayed on the fifth floor near the elevator at request. We enjoyed the bar before and after our event, the food and drinks were delicious and affordable and the service was wonderful. The outside courtyard has a fireplace that is warm and inviting. I did not check out the pool or the gym, but both looked nice. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. We will definitely be back.
We stayed at Aloft Chesapeake for an anniversary trip, and while the staff was super friendly and welcoming, the hotel itself definitely needs some love. The hallways were dark and had kind of a creepy vibe, which wasn’t exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. Our room had a poorly patched-up hole in the ceiling above the sink that just looked gross, and the furniture was noticeably worn out. It didn’t feel dirty necessarily, just really tired and not well-kept. The exterior of the hotel didn’t make a great first impression either. The building looked run down, and the sign was so faded you could barely read it. That said, it’s an okay place to crash for a night if you’re not too picky. The location is convenient, and again, the staff was great. They were definitely the highlight of the stay. Would I stay again? Maybe, but only if there weren’t better options nearby.
