Chesterfield Inn

The rooms we stayed in were decorated nicely. We had plenty of room for our things. Each room had a chest of drawers, a closet, and bedside tables. We liked that each room had comfortable chairs. The breakfast was fabulous and the service was outstanding. We even made dinner reservations for 2 of the nights, and those meals were fabulous as well. The inn is in a good location for day trips to Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. All of the staff was friendly and helpful.

For years we've stayed in Brattleboro Vt when we've come up for the Marlboro Music Festival, but we switched it up this year and we are SO glad we did! The Chesterfield Inn is a) beautiful, b) very well run, c) ideally located. We had a room toward the back of the main building, with a king bed and a balcony. The building is old, but the rooms are updated; bathroom spacious and clean with full tub/shower; nice size closet and sink/counter /drawers space outside of toilet/tub space; 2 comfy armchairs and a desk in the bedroom area. Breakfasts are terrific and consistent. There's a lovely basket with muffins on the table when you come down, and the servers are quick with the coffee or tea. Eggs, omelets, waffles, pancakes, yogurt/granola - choices, choices, choices! We are pescatarian, & there were plenty of vegetarian breakfast options. We chose to have dinner at the Inn on the night we were heading to Marlboro; there was a fish option & one vegetarian option. Both worked for us. The veg was mushrooms & gnocchi, and it was really delicious. My husband enjoyed his fish. We intend to reserve a room for next year!

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful setting, comfortable rooms and tasty breakfasts! I have stayed there over the past many years in all four seasons. Fall and Winter are my favorites!
