Chiantivillas Poggio a Vento

I have just come back from an amazing trip in Florence and Tuscany. We stayed in Poggio a Vento which is a stunning house located in the beautiful Tuscan hills and not too far from Florence (close enough for day trips to the city). The house itself has been beautifully and tastefully restored with all the modern commodities but in keeping with its traditional character. Every room - even the bathrooms - have stunning views of the landscape. Centrally heated so warm and suitable even in winter months. Super house. Kitted out with everything you could need. Beautiful details even tableware. Fantastic hosts - always available. Very much recommend.

What a beautiful stay in a wonderful place! 'Like the back drop of the Mona Lisa' as one of our group said, this gem of a restored house sits on top of a hill surrounded by Chianti beauty: comfy beds, lots of bathrooms, homey and welcoming, easy to navigate kitchen, fab hosts who were super helpful!!! Kids and grandparents loved it too - heaps to do for the whole family in the area, as well as just spending time in and around the house. Great trail running too!

We recently enjoyed an AMAZING family holiday in this wonderful jewel of a home. Just perfect. Recently restored, very tastefully decorated.Good for large or small groups. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, each one with a private bathroom, beds are excellent, linens are perfect. Kitchen well equipped. We were there in March and had to use the heating which was very efficient, also has a nice fireplace. Very clean and well maintained. The hosts are always ready to help and very knowledgeable of the area. In the middle of Tuscany and the Chianti region, perfect for beautiful drives and discovery of nice towns and near enough to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano for day trips. Great restaurants in the area, from simple to fancy. Hope to return soon.
