Chihuahua Hotel

Writing a review on behalf of my parents. Honest review of their experience.... My parents stayed here on a sunday night 1 night on Nov 17. (king bed "basic" room) Not many people staying, therefore of course, the parking lot was not full (probably because it was sunday), and it didn't look that big. (I was not physically staying there) Keep in mind that online to reserve a specific room, they will ask for your card, but apparently they can't charge that card on file that you use to make an online reservation. Why? I have no idea, which I tried to have them use that card to pay for my parents room. Anyways, my parents ended up paying for it with their mexico debit/credit card (how inconvenient they wouldn't let me use my american card). I wish they would use the card I used to make it such a faster and easier process. The water to shower was warm at first, but later on, very hot water came out, so therefore they did not have issues with getting hot showers. Room was clean with plenty of towels.(pictures provided) This hotel is located close to the freeway, near restaurants/fast food. The front desk guy was nice and polite. The inside of the front lobby to the room looked very clean & beautiful/elegant. They stated that breakfast next morning was very good and lots and lots of options for breakfast. Overall, they stated that they had a very good stay. No breakins in cars or nothing. Wifi did work, and no issues with their hotel keys.

We couldn’t enter our room when we returned from dinner at 11 PM. After 45 minutes of trying to fix the locks, they gave us another room. We had to spend the night without my girlfriend’s medication, tampons, and food for our dog, all stuck in our original room. In the morning, a young staff member lied to us saying that we could enter our room before ending his shift. We waited another hour until the room was finally opened. Apologies were given only after we complained. The manager named Jesus falsely claimed it was a first-time issue, despite other reviews saying otherwise. When we demanded a refund, the manager initially offered a partial one and threatened to call the police when we insisted on a full refund. We eventually got a cash refund, likely to avoid his boss's notice. Recommendation to the hotel: Change door batteries yearly and have a night manager for serious issues. Recommendation to visitors: Stay elsewhere.

This hotel was less than ok. Maybe a one star hotel. I dont understand how it can be a “pet friendly” hotel but there is ABSOLUTELY NO GRASS ANYWHERE. Where are my dogs supposed to go?? My poor dogs need a smidge of grass or even FAKE GRASS. Is it that hard to put a small piece of turf?? Not just that, the room has NO fridge, or a side table, night stand, ottoman, suitcase holder, NOTHING— just a small joke for a place to put your things. All my stuff needs to go right on the FLOOR. Is this a joke?? The “closet” is a joke and you can’t even hang a coat because there’s no room for it. Why is the bathroom door glass? Why can I see through the glass door?? What is that?? Where is my privacy?? And they hardly provided towels. We got two standard size towels and ONE hand towel. Not even a coffee maker or a complimentary bottle of water. As you can see in the pictures, all my things had to go on the floor when there is CLEARLY room for a table, bench, chair!!
