Chimelong Panda Hotel

A good one for vacation with kids. The hotel is build in a kid friendly way - be it the decor or the toilet seat! Cleanliness is good. Location is very convenient Its very near to Chimelong international circus. They have stuttles to take you to the safari theme park and water park. Being vegeterian, we were worried about food options but the staff was nice enough to prepare some veg option for us. i found the wifi to be a bit slow. Overall a comfortable and joyful stay.

Nice place best for kids with huge volume of big rooms, 1 huge buffet restaurant with dinner buffet 1730-2100, a huge food court opening 0830-2300 and game rooms. There are traditional Chinese and international dishes to fill you up. Prices are affordable though relatively high but hey this is a theme park hotel.

They ranked themselves as Five Star Hotel. It's not. It's three star rating at best. Here are reasons:- 1. the carpet is filthy. Both wife and I got beriberi from the hotel floor - dozens of bubbles appeared on our feet two days after checking in. 2. the hotel SCAN your face when checking in, claiming it a police requirement. It's a lie. We checked in real five star hotels in CBD Guangzhou, and they did not require FACE SCANNING. 3. It locked all doors to balcony. If you want to open doors to balcony, they would ask you to sign a document claiming IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY if kids fall. Once they unlocked the doors, you are not able to lock it even with kids. Why don't the stupid hotel have the door lock higher up so that only adults could unlock and lock? 4. It's smelly - you will smell animal poo when on balcony. 5. It's noisy - the circus kept emitting noise.
