Chimneys Nuwara Eliya

We stayed here for a night with our toddler and I can say for sure that I have not received such welcome anywhere else so far. They offered us coffee and some really nice cookies and cake while we waited in the lobby. The overall property is stunning and has hills all around so any click there will turn out to be beautiful, they even gave us a property tour as most of the rooms were vacant when we visited. Mr Gopi always kept smiling and helped us with everything immediately be it some issue with toilet or currency exchange or recommending a nice indian restaurant nearby. The food also was good and they made some indian breakfast for us which was nice. Overall, we always felt we were staying at home rather than a hotel. Must go if visiting Nuwara Eliya.

We were truly lucky to have stumbled onto this hotel at the last minute. Our actual booking with a different property didn’t quite work out when we got to Nuwara Eliya and we (a group of 6!) went looking for a new one and completely lucked out when we got to book a night’s stay here. The service was impeccable, and the property itself is just stunning with its design, spacious rooms, tastefully decorated for a cozy ambiance, and has a beautiful garden with lovely flowers. It truly gave us a feeling of home. Breakfast was simple and tasty. We wished we could have stayed another night , but we would definitely love to come back.

Stunning property! Right out a story book can imagine this being a perfect place for writers and poets! Staff very friendly, owners dogs were so cute made our stay even more comfortable.
