Wonderful Stay at China World Hotel – Highly Recommended We stayed at the China World Hotel for three nights in early August 2025 as part of our China trip, and we were genuinely impressed. The service was outstanding — exactly what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Every staff member we interacted with was extremely friendly and professional. Special thanks to the reception team, who spoke excellent English and made us feel very welcome from the first moment. Yes, the hotel is a little older, and our room could use a light renovation, but everything was spotlessly clean and fully functional. We had no issues at all and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. A special highlight is the hotel’s direct access to the China World Mall. After a long flight, having dozens of great restaurants just steps away is a true luxury. Whether you're in the mood for local cuisine or international flavors, you'll find something delicious. From us: top marks across the board and a big thank you to the entire team at the China World Hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved every second of our stay! From check-in to check-out everything was great. All the staff were courteous, the concierge even helped me book a ride, the dining staff and manager at the breakfast restaurant are very helpful as well. The room and location is perfect!!!

So if I could I would give it 4.5 stars. Been staying there for 25 years now. Wonderful location. Really well maintained property. Reason for a 4 is it is due for room refresh. In talking with a manager on our stay last week he asked about our stay. My response compared it to the Kerry Hotel, a sister Shangri-La property: the lounge is better at CW though the rooms are better at Kerry. He went on to explain that they have started renovating the highest floors, Horizon Level rooms, and are slowly doing others. So I have no problems recommending this hotel particularly due to location. Only challenge to be aware of is on occasions overseas dignitaries will stay there and depending on their level you sometimes have to go through a security check similar to an airport every time you enter the property. That can be annoying is they may do a full body search after the metal detector.
