Fantastic hotel - stunning view of the water - great location … Bellingham is an adorable town … and this is a little gem. I was very pleasantly surprised… the online photos do not do the hotel justice … and it backs up to the water and this gorgeous boardwalk. You can easily walk to town. Lovely suites and comfy bed. My only complaint - which is not their fault - is the very loud train - definitely the best hotel around!
The check-in and checkout process is made simple due to being able to due all that via Hilton mobile app. A small parking garage is offered, but of course at your own risk. To go in and out of it. You must be checked in prior to using it. Otherwise, street parking is in a first come first served basis. (Since I didn’t see any reviews about this). I have no real complaints. My stay was great! I stayed from 05/15/2025 to 05/16/2025 in room 205. The train rumbling is actually quite relaxing. It takes me back to my childhood of living near a train track. If you have the option to get a more expensive room. I suggest it as it will guarantee you a nice view of the bay and better atmosphere in your room. The only issue I came across was that I’ve found someone’s tanned footprints in the tub. Kind of hard to get rid of it now since it looks like it has been there untreated for awhile.
The train passes every 2 hours in the night. It is LOUD. There are adult ear plugs but no solution for kids. We closed all the windows and blinds, even tried sleeping in the living room couch. Terrible. We’re not light sleepers. The view was amazing, but not sleeping feels terrible. And is actually terrible for having to drive back next day. 😓 Front desk response: “we have a sign at check-in about train noise” It is a little late to be realizing what this means at check-in… The train breaks and turns just in front of the hotel so it is a high pitched noise that lasts for 10 minutes or longer. And it happens every 2 hours as you’re trying to fall asleep.
