Cinnamon Wild Yala

Fabulous hotel, an elephant visited the pool our first evening and although we didn’t see any leopards, the safari was amazing. Food and drinks were all good and all staff helpful and pleasant with good English. The only thing we disliked was the dimly lit rooms

We loved the lodge, nestled within the wilderness of the Yala National Park where we witnessed many wild animal sightings. Precisely why we wanted to be there but besides the fact we saw many species of birds such as Painted Stork and Snake Bird we were given a very warm welcome by the staff. Prince, who assisted us a number of times was very kind and had some amazing send off cookies which were mad delicious. We also saw the crocodiles and a few harmless snakes. Great choice of food in the dinner buffet! Experienced a wonderful starry night at the rooftop to cap off a great experience.

This was my first time staying here and I loved every minute of it. From the second I walked in, the staff at the front office were super welcoming and check-in was quick and easy — exactly what I needed after a long trip from Colombo. I stayed in a Jungle Chalet and it was really spacious, clean, and cozy. You feel so close to nature, it’s honestly such a peaceful vibe. The safari organized by the hotel was AMAZING — I actually got to see a few leopards which was a huge highlight for me! The Nature Trails team did a great job and made it such a fun experience. The food was also sooo good — totally worth it. But my favourite part of the whole stay was stargazing at the rooftop restaurant. It was magical! ✨ If you’re thinking of visiting, I’d say go for at least 2 nights — one night is just not enough to take it all in. Can’t wait to go back!
