Citic Ningbo International Hotel

Location is about 10 minutes away from the Metro

I stayed at the Ningbo CITIC International hotel during a business trip in April 2023. Like most hotels in China, even though the hotel is officially non-smoking, this is almost entirely ignored and smoking takes place in the lobby, elevator, restaurant, rooms ect so be prepared to be surrounded by a constant smell of stale smoke. The room that I checked into for my first night had such a bad smoke smell that even with the windows open as far as they could go (which isn't much) I woke up feeling like I had smoked half a pack of cigarettes. I went to speak to the reception staff about this and they were very helpful and changed me to a different room and provided an air purifier to improve the smell. This made a world of difference and I had a much more pleasant stay after this. The hotel is quite conveniently located with a short walk away from a big mall and about a 10 min walk from the metro station. You can also reach the high speed rail station with a short taxi ride. The hotel offers a comprehensive breakfast with mostly Chinese breakfast staples but they also have toast, eggs, pastries and a selection of fresh fruit.

Nice and good hotel. Near to shopping center and Tesco supermarket.
