CitizenM Boston North Station Hotel

It’s really neat that the rooms are controlled by the tablet! My husband & I stayed just 1 night for a concert we saw at the garden which is conveniently located right next door. We were a little shocked when we went to check in and it was all tablets and it was a self check in ( which once figured out it’s cool) but the staff is right there to help you and they’re super nice and helpful with everything. The beds & pillows are comfortable for a good nights sleep and if you get a city view on a high floor you get to see the airplanes take off and land at Logan pretty awesome! It’s a small but cozy room, I liked it but there were some cons though. Cons being charging ports, if you have 2 people sleeping in the room the person sleeping by the window doesn’t get a plug for their phone, they have to leave it on the table to charge ( if that’s for you, cool but I like to have my sound machine app going on my phone ) the citizens app that you can use to control the room too, you can check out etc. it needs a serious tune up, it doesn’t want to work half the time. Parking isn’t park of the hotel BUT it’s Boston and to be EXPECTED, we were seeing a concert so parked in the north station garage for $80. If we need to stay over in Boston again, citizenM is on my list to go back to!

The hotel is more like an upscale hostel rather than a 4-start hotel. They do not provide any amenities in the room including a simple thing like an iron and ironing board. They have one for each floor which was not working in our case. The front desk is not helpful at all and you will be dealing with app and computer most times. Overall, disappointing experience and do not recommend especially if you are in town for business or an important event.

Hotel in general: Clean, with nice eclectic common areas to socialize, play, read or work. Room: I guess they were trying to be minimalistic? There is not a place to sit other than the bed. No place to put your suitcase other than the floor 👎🏼 No place to charge your electronics other than one in the bathroom. They don't even offer a bottle of water 😂 and unless you request it, they will not change sheets or give you fresh towels. The good: nice view, has a bathroom with shower inside the room. Location is great; close to everything. I would not stay here again.
