Very clean. Rooms are very small as other reviews state but not as small as I thought. The size, in my opinion, is fine for solo or a couple. Other reviews complain about the hard mattress. It's definitely not soft, but it didn't interrupt my sleep. If you require a soft mattress you will take issue. The room floors are solid surface so no filthy hotel carpet. The lights are a very cute touch because you can change the color. You can control the lights, TV, and temperature from an iPad which is very convenient. You can get food 24 hours, which is great! I'm not familiar with LA, I'm sure there are better locations. My only complaint is there is no iron in the room. Instead they have an iron in a communal room on a few floors. Overall for the price and cleanliness and what you get, I would stay again.
What stands out about this place are the rooms which are very comfortable. Love how you can change the lighting to suit your needs. Endless TV stations make you feel right at home. The bed is nice and big, and the shower pressure is nice. Small gym to allow for quick workouts. Great location downtown with access to everything LA. The negatives are that the rooms are small which makes it hard to navigate putting your suitcase any place. If you're with another person the room might feel a little tight. The sink to wash your face is also small, and trying to iron your clothes can be a bit of a hassle. The Laura Star irons are over rated and don't provide enough heat. Plus you have the share the ironing room with everyone. No parking either so know before you book. Overall, it's a cool place to stay with many features in the hotel.
Im currently in my room - set to checkout tomorrow - writing from a comfortable bed. (the beds are nice) With that said.... This is a well dressed budget hotel. Take that in mind when curating your hotel stay. Currently.... Ive been waiting for my room to be cleaned since 10am (its now 3pm). The mainline hotel customer service was so rude its laughable. If you have been to Europe (think Germany) and have experienced "customer service".... yeah. Thanks "Shelly" (that name is probably fake) for saving me $120 USD on a membership.
