citizenM San Francisco Union Square

Booked this hotel for my first time visiting SF and I had a great experience. Rooms are small but have everything you need, I like that you can control all the lights and blinds via your phone or their tablet. Room was super clean. Location is very good to explore the city. Can definitely recommend.

We spent a few days at CitizenM in San Francisco as a couple and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the city – we had plenty of great spots within walking distance, and public transport was close by as well. The rooms were compact but smartly designed – modern, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxed and enjoyable visit. The breakfast buffet had a well-balanced mix that suited our tastes: fresh fruit, muesli, classic options like scrambled eggs and bacon, and plenty more to choose from. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful, which really contributed to the welcoming atmosphere. One person who stood out in particular was an older security guard of Mexican heritage. There was something especially warm and genuine about the way he interacted with guests – always greeting everyone with a kind smile and a few friendly words. It may seem like a small detail, but his presence added a personal touch that truly stayed with us.

Fantastic hotel with amazing staff. The breakfast was always delicious. Not to mention the convenient location in Union Square. Small rooms with a modern, high tech feel which is perfect for travel alone or as two people. I stayed here for two weeks and was incredibly happy with the service every single day.
