Small rooms but I prefer that. I’m typically one who just needs a place to crash - I’m not traveling for work, so amenities aren’t a big concern for me. It may sound odd, but as a plumber my absolute baseline for general quality of a hotel is the fixtures. They used high-end manufacturers for the room I stayed in - typically these are brands that I only install during high value remodels where no expenses are spared. They are eco-friendly fixtures - if you’re accustomed to showering with a fire hose then the fixtures might not seem great, but they really are. Every single staff member that I interacted with is deserving of praise. I had a minor technical issue with app connectivity - but the staff addressed the issue professionally, with great courtesy, and a sense of ownership. I do my best to treat everybody respectfully, so results may vary depending on your personality type. Overall, this is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. I prioritize customer service in my business, so have a very critical eye when it comes to that. They met and exceeded my expectations for sure. Honestly, I could have stayed in a mud hole in the ground and the customer service alone would have warranted five stars. Make sure you carefully understand and plan parking before you stay here, but that is a Seattle problem - no fault on the hotel for that.
1 - Ocean view from the window is breathtaking, unforgettable and topped in my trip. 2 - The hotel is located in a safe and clean district, next to the coast. 3 - The room is clean, comfortable, quiet and high-tech; the bed is very comfortable. 4 - The breakfast is pretty good. 5 - Free filtered water available in the bar area. 6 - Self-service check-in & check-out, very fast.
Pros The location is amazing. Breakfast buffet is definitely worth the price. Coffee was great, there's an espresso bar, 15-20 minute walk to Pike Market and tons of good restaurants/bars on the way there and around the area. We were able to upgrade to a water view room. That was lovely. The staff were helpful and polite. The tech in the room was cool. Easy to learn. Cons Both bathroom and shower doors did not close properly. We were hoping to get some good rest after two long days of exploring but it was difficult sleeping on a hard bed and flimsy pillows. The comforter is a bit small to share with two people. The room is a good size for two people who are comfortable being in each other's space and are visiting for a short stay. The hotel can add some hooks in the room and bathroom for towels. Also, one of the outlets did not work for the hair dryer. OVERALL though, it's a decent hotel. The vibes in the lobby are fun and relaxing..
