I had an excellent stay at the hotel. The cleanliness throughout the property was outstanding, with rooms and public areas kept spotless at all times. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile, especially Ms. Thanuja, who provided exceptional service. A special thank you for the beautiful anniversary setup, which made our day extra special. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful stay at Citrus Waskaduwa. Everything was excellent—from the spacious, clean rooms to the fantastic food. The hotel features a beautiful swimming pool and a large, well-maintained garden that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway.
I went on vacation with my friend during a long weekend, and overall, I have mixed feelings about this place. We started with lunch. The buffet selection wasn’t great, but it was okay. On that day, there was also a corporate outing, and unfortunately, there was no separate restaurant for them — both hotel guests and corporate groups used the same space. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the restaurant had enough space, but it was extremely overcrowded, and there wasn’t enough seating for everyone. The buffet lines were very long. When we first started eating, there wasn’t a queue, but once the corporate group arrived, the lines became quite long. Some of our friends managed to get their food before the lines formed, but others had to wait until things calmed down. To make matters worse, a restaurant manager (or some lady in charge) came to our table and asked us to leave if we had finished eating, so that others could have space. Two of my friends left while still having dessert. If you plan to book this hotel, I recommend checking in advance if there will be any corporate gatherings during your stay. Dinner had a better spread and was good. Breakfast was also okay. However, overall, it wasn’t as good as other nearby hotels in the same budget range.
