City Club Hotel

We stayed for three nights as a family of six- they had some combined rooms with a double bed and a day bed so we could fit the six of us in two combined rooms. The service and help went above and beyond to help us out. They held our luggage because we arrived early, delivered it to our room, offered additional services and made sure we were comfortable. I was especially surprised how good the breakfast was- there were many options with oatmeal, fresh fruit, breads and muffins, juices, bagels, cheeses, cereal, and pre packaged bakery items. Something else that was very convenient was that their eating area was available to bring food back and dine in. Seating in many restaurants is very limited in the area. Also they had a cold water station where you could fill water bottles- this is super hard to find in Manhattan. The rooms are not the newest, but they are functional and seemed well kept.

After many bad hotel experiences in NYC, I'm glad to say that this was the nicest one I've stayed at. The staff was competent at the counter and managed to get me checked in quickly despite a couple people ahead of me. The room was more spacious than anticipated, but it's NYC, so keep that in mind. The queen room had a large black marble bathroom which was stocked with soap, shampoo, hair dryer, sewing kit, robes. I loved the hidden stocked bar behind the artwork in the room. The staff was helpful and had a kindness that was contagious. Loved having access to their breakfast bar and espresso machine. The only reason I am giving 4/5 is because the wifi connection was not great and I found the bed to be a bit stiff. With that said, I'm looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Still Haven’t Received Our Security Deposit – 4 Months Later We stayed at City Club Hotel over 4 months ago, and we’re still waiting on our security deposit. Despite multiple follow-ups via calls and emails, there’s been no resolution—just vague responses and empty promises. The room was below expectations (especially for NYC), breakfast was mediocre at best, and the service throughout our stay was dismissive. What truly shocked us, though, was the audacity to ignore repeated requests regarding our own money. Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.
