City Hotel Gouda World Hotels Crafted Collections

We stayed one night on our self-supported bike trip from Amsterdam to Paris. Great hotel. We were upgraded to a beautiful corner room and received two complimentary cocktails. The location was perfect - quiet but within walking distance of the city center. The breakfast was well done - plenty of variety and all of good quality. Highly recommend

Beautiful hotel. Good location. Room was nice, comfy to sleep, quiet and good A/C. Staffs were nice, breakfast were decent. Hotel has luggage room that you can leave your luggage there before check in and after check out. Only one thing I don't like is Bathroom. It's just a bath tub in the room with small wall to divine bedroom and bathroom. It's difficult to get in and out, need to use step. Not convenient design and not any privacy.

We stayed twice on our trip, once at the start, and 1 night before flying out. First time, was very nice. The open shower, as in no door, people walking in can see your naked butt... was definitely weird. The second time though, the ac wasn't working, and it started at about 24.5c in the room, and after max setting, 7 hours later it was a freezing. 23.6c... First time it actually got the room to 20c. The second time the shower also had no soap. After a long day, before leaving, I wanted to take a shower. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. How does a hotel let them get empty? Isn't that something housekeeping should check on, weekly at least? Refill after each completes stay im the room? Rather disappointing the second time. But the location for spending time in Gouda, was really good.
