City Hotel Ljubljana

Perfect in almost every way. Nice big room, really comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom and free toiletries of a very high standard. The only tiny complaint was we couldn't make our air conditioning be a little warmer!

We had a very pleasant stay. I liked the fact that the hotel was very much alive, full of different people and very diverse. The staff was very professional. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large and comfortable bed. The breakfast was average but still good. Very close to the pedestrian zone.

The best thing with this hotel is absolutely the location. Breakfast was average, nothing special. For example, I would have liked to have different boiled eggs, not just hard-boiled. Coffee was surprisingly good. Gym is great but rather small. We needed to change the room because the bathroom drainage was smelling strongly. The next room was similar but the bed was horrible and made a loud noise. At this point we just accepted it because it already had took some time to find an another pet-friendly room. So paying 20€ extra for a dog and not receiving anything extra (instead have it worse) is common but always sad. The room was big, bathroom had both a shower and a bath tub which was nice but when booking a double room I expect a double bed, not just two twin beds together… Parking garage was highly appreciated. I was also mistakenly charged too much but got a refund after talking to the staff. Luckily, staff was really friendly and service good. Overall, a good experience but there is sure room for improvement.
