City Hotel

The location is great. Close to the lake, shops, and restaurants. The hotel is older and in need of repair and upgrades. Cleaning is fair but could be better. Staff was rarely at reception as they also helped at the restaurant. Food was fair, not to my selection or taste.

Old hotel with equally old equipment and facilities. This is the first time I have stayed in a 4-star hotel that requires you to close the door when taking a shower (the bathroom very very small and for those who are afraid of narrow spaces, this hitel is not recommended. Its almost very difficult to move) and not to boil water in the room. If you need hot water you shoukd go down to the lobby (very small as well). Small room size, the pillow is thin like a paper. And some of the carpet in my room are damaged.  No air conditioning and poor ventilation. There are no amenities at all even though I asked directly at the front desk. Since we booked the room from the agent, we complained to them and they said someone will help us and asking to meet him the lobby. Unfortunately, he was angry. Then asked loudly, what time did you check in? why are you only complaining now?Then he asked which rooms had thin pillows, then I said that on average all the complaints were thin (we book around 9 rooms), he didn't accept that, he said "it's impossible, all of them. Try to tell me which room number needs to be fixed." The breakfast is bad, the fried rice provided is cold and there is no choice of bread, only one type. The restaurant is also less hygienic, in a closed area there are many wild birds flying here and there. From all the facilities available, services and the way they solved the problems, I don't think this hotel deserves to be a 4 star hotel, specially in Switzerland. If you don't want to ruin your vacation I think this hotel should be avoided.

Only the location is fantastic. If you don’t mind the room at all, go for it. But I’m telling you—I felt sick as soon as I walked in.
