CityClass Hotel am Dom

We stayed here during our road trip through Europe, and after four other hotels, CityClass Hotel am Dom was by far the best experience. I work in the hotel industry myself as a former reception/bar manager and hospitality trainer, and I was blown away by the service. A big shoutout to the friendly guy at reception when we arrived around 3 PM – super welcoming, asked about our trip, gave us tips for the city, and made the lobby feel warm and personal. We had contacted the hotel in advance via Hotels.com, and they had already arranged a room with a view of the Cologne Cathedral – and wow, room 505 was incredible. I spent hours just enjoying the view from the big balcony. The room was spotless, and the cold bottled water in the fridge was a great touch. Location is perfect, and every staff member we met was kind – even the delivery guy in the elevator greeted us. Funny enough, the same receptionist checked us out in the morning – what a dedicated guy! His colleague joked about calling our bosses so we could stay another night. That kind of humor and warmth made the whole stay feel homely and genuine. We’ll definitely be back – and next time we’re asking for room 505 again! – Kalle & Sofie from Denmark

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and dining area. There was a fun robot "cat" Trolley doing the round for dirty dishes. But the staff were great, helpful, friendly, and doing nearly all the work. The rooms were fairly standard midrange rooms, but very clean and pleasant.

Great location, a few blocks away from the Cathedral and the train station. A lot of restaurants and bar near by. The room and bathroom were big enough and spotless clean. Staff was really friendly. We had a room with Cathedral view.
