Cityhotel Design & Classic

We spent a weekend in this hotel and had a spacious topfloor room with balcony. Very friendly welcome upon arrival. Breakfast staff seemed to lack motivation and removed all food at 10am sharp. In terms of guests we saw a small group, 2-3 couples and a family. We could not quite understand why it was not possible to do the check out one hour later, ie at lunchtime in an almost empty hotel. Location is convenient, close to the station.

Very strange receptionist. Somehow the parking ticket was not validated correctly. Therefore, I took help from the Parkmachine. The lady on the helpdesk told me I have to come to the reception one more time to validate the ticket. Eventually, the lady at the help desk and reception was the same person. I wonder why she could not have opened the parking-exit gate from her desk. As a nice gesture. I was standing at the bar for 5 minutes, and none of the waiters came and asked for my order. Afterwards I sit on the couch for 20 minutes; nobody came and asked for an order. Really sad, and the bar was not at all busy. I could count visitors with one hand

Nice and large rooms and comfy beds, proximity to the train station, 4 minutes walking to the old city. Close to the forest also. But it's located at the ring, hence a bit noisy. Check out was at 11 and we asked to leave at 12 and they wanted to charge 40 euro for that, even with the hotel almost empty. The female receptionist is not friendly at all. Breakfast is okay with a nice variety of food, however the music 🎶 was way too loud but it was lowered on request. If you have no other options you may try it. Fortunately we were there for only 2 nights.
