Civilize Hotel

The.staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful. The work station room is very large. The bed was comfortable and the large walk-in shower was nice. Free coffee and water in the room was also nice. The restaurant has a nice breakfast and lunch/dinner buffet the is only 199 baht The breakfast buffet is included if you have an extended stay. The only issue was that the WiFi was very slow (~100mb), but that was because the hotel was full for Songkran. It is located in the center of town, so it is close to just about anything you are looking for. For coffee I recommend the "OK Cafe" which is only a few minutes walk away

This hotel was one of my choice for short stay when go to Udon. But today the hotel seem a bit older, slow sink in the room, staff also gave me invalid key when checked-in and unable to enter my room, then need to go ask front desk to solve it. Anyway, the service is not that bad with welcome drink, welcome card, good breakfast and good night drink, very appeciated but there is a lot of choice of hotel nearby to compare now. With this service level and the little mistake today, will come back again when the price match with the qualities.

We went to eat the 199 buffet lunch, 3 adults and 3 children both under 130cm high. Disappointed is the only word I can describe the buffet. A lot of items were empty, what items were left didn’t give the wow factor. Very nice decor and friendly staff. I don’t like being pressured into filling out a questionnaire about food and service whilst eating. We were charged full price for the children which seemed a bit excessive. We won’t go back again. A lot better options available in Udon.
