Clarance Hotel Lille

A wonderful hotel and a beautiful city… The service was amazing. He checked in around breakfast was greeted by the lovely staff. The rooms was comfortable and had a sweet bread included the bakers and chefs. There are amazing as all of the breads were unforgettable my next time in Lille, I would love to stay here indefinitely a recommend.

We had a short two-day trip to Lille. A nice stroll to the main city square from this hotel is only about 10 mins. You are surrounded by eateries and shops. Check in was smooth with excellent service. However, I would ask for a room that does not face rue de la Barre because it was too noisy at night. Someone had a party that went on till 230 am with people sitting on the street right under our room and loud music. We called reception and explained and she was nice enough to give us access to another room that was away from the noise (a much smaller room) as a temporary solution. And by the way we were told the hotel can't complain even if it is noisy at 2 am. But know that giving us a spare room to sleep will not be possible if the hotel is full. Finally, not all rooms have air conditioning and we had a heat wave and the room was unbearably hot, even at night. And this was part of the reason why it was so noisy because the room was so hot you had to leave the windows open. This obviously will not be a problem in the winter or cooler months but the noise issue still needs to be addressed. We didn't not eat at the hotel because we were so tired from the night before.
