Amazing experience! This is definitely one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The staff were super friendly and really helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, with a big bathroom. There also was a view from the window, which was truly breathtaking. Plus, it was really close to the tram station and some major attractions.
The hotel is in a fantastic location—right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of everything you might need. There were plenty of scooters available nearby too, making it super convenient to get around. We stayed for five nights and really enjoyed our time. As a newer hotel, it’s modern, stylish, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and the spa was a real highlight—relaxing and beautifully designed. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly marred by a broken fridge in our room. Despite reporting it, the issue wasn’t resolved and the staff didn’t seem particularly apologetic, which was disappointing given the otherwise high standards. Room was very warm, in early May, no windows to open to try and get a breeze and air con seemed to be struggling to cool so imagine it gets very hot in the warmer months. Overall, a lovely stay with a great vibe—just a bit more attention to guest concerns would make it excellent considering the price point (expensive).
Clarion create a gorgeous environment, I went to the roof bar for a drink. A small space, I sat on the edge of a lounge waiting for a table to clear. It was covered in glasses but I enjoyed the view. Two American ladies came to the next table also full of glasses. I offered them my view and we moved all the glasses to their table. As I left I spoke to a tall, dark, female manager and asked if some glasses could be cleared. She said I will tell them. When is a hospitality manager too good to perform service? I slept well in my beautiful room, did yoga as I waited for my 0800 time slot. Omg what a dreadful experience I couldn't see the food for the crowds. A young man leant across me when I was preparing a crepe, another man swept in from opposite side when I lined up to get a juice. The Apple juice tap gave me water. When I finally got a plate filled and found a table the hot food was cold. Not a luxurious experience, I left feeling cranky and buffered.
