Clarion Hotel Stavanger

Excellent breakfast lots of choices. Comfy bed with nice big pillow . Love rituals product on the bathroom. Great location, not too busy but close to port and the old town. I stayed at standard room, the size is decent for single, but not much space to move around and the room only have small round table, no office desk/chair, wouldnt recommend this if you have to work from the hotel.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices. The bed was very comfortable with a nice, big pillow. I also loved the Rituals products provided in the bathroom. The location is great — close to the port, bus/train stations, the lake, and the old town, yet not too busy.

The hotel has a nice location, right next to the city center. Service is friendly, efficient and helpful. It is a fairly well kept hotel, although the rooms, and especially the bathrooms, are in need of an upgrade. I have stayed here a couple of times, and last time I had a Deluxe room on the 13th floor, room 1317. Those rooms are spacious, but they this one in particular is located below the gym, so you get disturbed anytime people are working out. A tip would be to go for a room on 12th floor instead. You would still have a great view, without the noise. I also found the bed to very uncomfortable. The bed itself is very hard, the duvet is heavy and clammy, and the pillows are either very hard or extremely soft. As a result it was difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good and well organized, with all the options you would expect from a continental breakfast at a chain hotel. I think most people will find this hotel to be a perfectly good option, but personally I do not think I will stay at this hotel again, as there are a couple of Stavanger hotels that are significantly better.
