I am not staying here, but I am attending a few days of a symposium held in one of the ballrooms at this hotel. What I noticed is that the hotel is clean, from the lobby to the symposium area. It does give the impression of an old hotel, with a large spiral staircase in the lobby, but it still feels comfortable and safe. The staff in the lobby were also very friendly in providing directions, including when I asked where I could perform Friday prayers. The food served during the lunch break was abundant. The taste was still on par with the food I usually enjoy at other hotels, but the portion size was its standout feature. Highly recommended!
Lovely place to stay and lot of things you can explore in this hotel
While I am happy to pay 8k, a decent amount of parking fee for motorbike. The officer is far from being nice. It was in the middle of the rain that I tried to put my raincoat on right after I paid the fee. One of the staff from 5m away from me warned at me by yelling "do not park there!". I just want to wear my raincoat, I replied. But the staff persisted by adding the reasoning that the car might pass there. I looked around and found no car driving towards. I mean, come on, it just takes 3 seconds for me. Seems like no permission is given to me. Hopefully it is not the hospitality that this hotel has to offer. The staff require more training on this.
