Clayton Hotel City of London Tower Bridge

Stayed from Saturday night - Monday morning. Great hotel with great service. Staff was welcoming and very eager to help. Breakfast buffet was amazing, delicious food and lots of varieties. Rooms was lush, had great air conditioning which was great and the bed was very comfortable - top 5 most comfortable beds me and my partner have slept on. The room was very clean and bathroom was spacious. Overall had an amazing experience and would definitely come back to this hotel when travelling to London.

What a lovely stay we had at the Clayton Hotel (City of London). On arrival we were met by courteous and welcoming reception staff - Raj, Kamil and Maria. We were checked in accordingly and were told we were guests of the week! Wow, what a lovely surprise. Maria & Raj explained what this meant and ran us through a few things including our room upgrade, they also took a genuine and caring interest in our trip and why we were visiting! We saw Raj a few times at the reception desk and he was always pleasant and polite. Maria also recognised us at breakfast one morning and made a concerted effort to have a chat - truly lovely staff who went the extra mile - and I’m not saying that because of our upgrade. I could tell this was their nature. The suite was wonderfully presented, spotlessly clean and had lovely modern features - the attention to detail was superb. A lovely little touch was a hand written note in our room on arrival and a bag of goodies for being guests of the week. The location is superb and I was very impressed when we got back around midnight to see all doors locked and only entry via a keycard was permitted, along with security on the door ensuring people entering were permitted to do so. 10/10 stay, wonderful staff, a gorgeous breakfast and a spotlessly clean and modern hotel. We will absolutely be making this our regular spot to stay for our London trips.

We stayed at the Clayton Hotel as part of an organized tour and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The room was clean, well-designed, and very comfortable, with blackout curtains, a spacious shower, and plenty of natural light. Breakfast was generous, tasty, and the buffet offered options to suit all dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten free. The hotel is in a relatively quiet area of London, with pubs, restaurants, and a tube station just steps away. The only downsides: the mattress was too soft, which led to back and neck discomfort during our stay, and the frequent sirens from emergency vehicles made it hard to get a peaceful night’s sleep. Better window soundproofing would make a real difference.
