Clayton Hotel Galway

The hotel is beside the main road and bus stop so it is easy to be found. Easy for guests who use public transport as well. A nearby shopping centre is beside it which is handy too. The room is very spacious. And the employees and Manager were accommodating. My son loved our stay. He said that Clayton hotel is a 5 star hotel. ☺️ We’ll definitely be back again.

We had a lovely experience. Before our arrival we asked reception for a room with a bathtub and our room was better than expected. In the restaurant we were very lucky to be served by Catherine, always smiling and attentive to our needs and those of other guests.

I've been here twice in the last few months, hotel is lovely and good food but their customer service needs some major improvement. On our first visit for a wedding we paid for late checkout and at the standard check out time the cleaners were pounding on my door telling me to check out, I explained we paid a fee for late check out and she was very rude in response. This week I attended for the races and the atmosphere was brilliant, music was great, rooms are lovely but one of the girls behind the bar outside decided to stop serving someone in our group (fine, no issue with this) but as a result refused to serve our large group "because she didn't want to serve anyone with him",. Her attitude was very childish, I made no argument just said OK fine no problem but can you swap with someone who will serve us and so she stood back laughing refusing to serve anyone at our side of the bar.
