Clayton Hotel Leopardstown

My partner and I love staying at this hotel. Ideal location and great facilities. The staff are fantastic. A special mention to Sarah on the coffee station, she was so pleasant to deal with, such a friendly lady with a really positive attitude. She was extremely helpful and even gave us some recommendations for our trip into the city centre. She is a credit to the hotel.

We recently stayed at the Clayton Hotel Leopardstown for the second time, and overall, we had another enjoyable experience. What We Loved: Warm Welcome: The staff at reception were super friendly and welcoming, which really set the tone for our stay. Great Dining: We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also excellent and offered great value. Parking: Parking was simple and easy to access, which made arriving stress-free. Atmosphere: Even though the hotel is quite large, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated. What Could Be Improved: Room Temperature: Our only gripe was the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Despite it not being very hot outside, the room was uncomfortably warm both nights. We’d actually stayed here before and had forgotten about this issue unfortunately, it was a bit too toasty again this time. I know installing AC might not be an easy fix, but it’s something future guests should be aware of. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the welcoming staff, delicious food, and convenient parking, but we’d love to see the room temperature issue addressed in the future.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, always on hand to help with a smile and quick to assist with anything we needed. Check-in was smooth, and service across the board was consistently professional. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The beds were great, and it’s clear that cleanliness is taken seriously, which adds to the feeling of comfort and quality during your stay. The hotel is in a great area—Leopardstown—with easy access to the Luas (tram), which makes getting into Dublin city centre simple and stress-free. It’s also a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions like Leopardstown Racecourse, Dundrum Shopping Centre, and scenic walks in Ticknock Forest or the Dublin Mountains. I recommend taking advantage of the hotel’s breakfast buffet, which offers a wide selection of hot and cold options—perfect for fueling a day of exploring. If you're not venturing out, the bar and restaurant on-site are also excellent, offering a good menu and relaxed vibe. Overall, the Clayton Leopardstown is a solid choice whether you’re visiting for business or leisure. I’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay with excellent service and great transport links. Leonie
