Agree with all the other reviews in that to look at, it wasn't much of a spot, but it was centrally located for our needs, the room was so clean and brand new I swear it seemed like we were the first people to ever use it. The bar at the hotel next door had friendly staff and great service
We had a nice meal, but were expected to bring our own plates for the cake. I think paper plates maybe. Anyhow we were given serviettes to use as plates. No cakage fee and they brought out the cake with candles lit for the birthday girl, so can't complain about that. All other pubs I have been to supply plates for the 🎂 and still do not charge cakage. Who does?
I had a meal with my 93 yr old aunt who was accused by a sassy dark haired waitress of not paying a surcharge for the meal she ordered and refused to bring her chips. My aunt had made the order to another staff member, and was told she could have chips with veg. The waitress was rudely vile in her language to my aunt. My aunt was shocked, as was I. Elder abuse I think.. My aunt's mound of mash was cold. My meal was also the wrong order. When she returned with my meal the fish was cold, and 1 piece was off. After a long time we finally scored our dessert, she was ignoring us. 2 days later I called Terry, the manager, who offered us a coffee or dessert as compensation! We will never eat there again.
