Great location and services. Food was relatively good if you think of it as a bufet meal however italy has much better food. Deserts were low quality and not italian standards.
I was here for a conference for which the location was fine but i would not spend my summer holidays here. Let’s start with the good things: The village is very large and has multiple pools and many free activities - I really liked archery but people were also enjoying free canoeing. The village is well gardened and pretty nice. The beach is amazing and clean. A massive (positive) contrast to the terrible beaches in Catania. The food is mixed. Meat & sweets were usually good, sides usually weak. Coffee is only available during breakfast. Beverages at the bars are insanely expensive (7€ for a beer) and you have to use a stupid prepaid card. The bungalow rooms were awful. They’re surprisingly spacious but are dated and uninviting. They also have weird metal doors that you have to lock making the place dark due to no windows and look like a prison cell. My room was also full of flying ants that would land on my face at night. So my nightly ritual was killing ants. Unfortunately the room service opened the bathroom windows every time to invite even more of those pests.
We spent one week here. We stayed at the bungalows in the garden and had noisy neighbours who used to smoke outside. The food was ok, there were things that were very good and things less good. I did find the buffet a bit boring and repetitive. The staff was quite nice and friendly, the entrateinment team was good and always smiling. The Reception and check in were terrible. Really bad organised. I find it ridiculous to have people who cannot speak English working at the reception. Definitely need to do a better job in that area. The room was ok, not hot despite the heat which was great. Pools need maintenance. Careful to the cotto around the pools, during the hottest hours it becomes so hot our children burnt their feet(under soles and toes) and one other girl ended up bleeding The beach and sea deserve 5 stars. Prices at the cafe are incredibly high. In general we had a pleasant stay but not sure it's worth the money.
