Club Esse Roccaruja

Sure the location is perfect due to the fact that it’s almost the only Resort in sight close to the famous La Pelosa beach, but this hotel had not only an extremely bad breakfast, the essentials are there, sure eggs and a couple of croassaints and the whole place is so extremely loud and crowded but, we arrived at the hotel around 22 at night and had no time to check the room that sells to be divided in two rooms and wasn’t; we hurried to eat dinner out and when we came back we found one of the beds full of small little hairs that we did not know where it came from, asked for a room change, the second room looked exactly the same, the problem? The same bed as in the first room was dirty with mud, or looked like it was walked on, and that caused us to move rooms not once but twice, the third room we got was surely bigger and with two little rooms inside of it, pretty view and all, but in general the whole structure was extremely old and badly cured, the bathrooms very old, the place outside is also very un-cured. We got a free drink voucher ( welcome drink) but the 4th member of the family is 13 and there wasn’t alcohol free options exept some juice from the breakfast that was offered to us, and the only drink available was Prosecco ): .

Myself and my family stayed here for our family holiday the room was clean but the beds were very uncomfortable. The area is beautiful but this hotel has facilities advertised such as a private beach which are not available if you are not staying FULL BOARD and this is not made clear. Not sure why anyone would want to pay 960Euros to sit on a beach for 8 days as an extra on top of a holiday cost that advertised a hotel with beach facilities. This hotel made us feel unwelcome.

AVOID THIS HOTEL: I recently stayed at Esse Club Roccaruja and, unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the expectations, especially considering the price point, €266 per night. While the location was excellent the overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. The biggest issue was the bathroom in my room. It was not properly cleaned before my arrival, there were visible stains, mold in the shower, dirt on the floor and a clear lack of maintenance. It made using the space uncomfortable and left me questioning the overall hygiene standards of the hotel. The decor, furnishings, and fixtures all looked like they hadn’t been updated in years. For the amount I paid per night, I expected a much higher standard in both cleanliness and comfort. The pool was also very dirty and non inviting and obviously not maintained. The location is definitely a plus, but unfortunately, that was the only real highlight and probably the only reason it’s still operational as a hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again unless there are significant improvements in cleanliness and maintenance or a much more reasonable rate to match the current condition. After trying our hardest to explain our disappointment they only offered another room which had a terrible smell or 50% refund and to find a new hotel. Absolutely not good enough. Never again.
