The hotel disappointed me. I travel to Turkey regularly, but this was the first time I encountered a hotel that is clearly geared primarily toward Russian-speaking guests and staff. Very kitschy and, unfortunately, the rooms were dirty. Personally, I prefer the Turkish environment and atmosphere, which was lacking here. The mini club is run by non-Turkish staff, which I didn’t find suitable. I came to Turkey for the local culture, but this hotel did not meet my expectations. Moreover, I have a feeling that some of the five-star reviews from the beginning of the season may have been written by the hotel’s own employees, which doesn’t seem trustworthy! At least two are fake, written by a Russian woman who works at the hotel and praises her own work. I recommend checking reviews on Booking and other platforms where only real hotel guests can leave feedback.
This was not a vacation — it was stress and disappointment. We were supposed to stay at Club Anjeliq Hotel until July 18, but we booked early return flights and left on July 16 because staying any longer was simply unbearable. We had a transfer from the airport included in our package, but no one met us. We arrived at night, exhausted, searching for someone to help. We ended up taking a taxi for €190, even though we were told it would be €120. Later we found out it should have cost around €100 — we were simply scammed. When we finally arrived, there were two men at reception who had no idea what they were doing. It took almost an hour just to get our room key. They looked completely untrained and unprofessional. The room? A complete disaster: • Strong smell of mold, cigarettes, and dampness • Dirty sheets and pillows (I had to sleep using my own T-shirt) • Sticky floors and a toilet that was literally covered in urine • Everything old, broken, and extremely unclean I have asthma and allergies, and it was nearly impossible to breathe in that environment. The “free Wi-Fi” was non-existent, and we had to pay extra for access. The payment terminal barely worked. We couldn’t pay by phone and had to go back to the room to get a physical card — it took another 30 minutes. The beach? Littered with trash and broken glass. I almost stepped on a sharp piece of glass if my husband hadn’t stopped me. The food? Unfresh, poorly presented, dirty — we were afraid to eat anything and risk getting sick. The atmosphere is depressing. The staff is rude and pushy. One man, after carrying our bags, stood outside our room waiting for a tip, despite us clearly explaining we had no cash. It was extremely uncomfortable. This hotel needs a serious inspection by health and safety authorities. What they offer is a disgrace. Save your money, your health, and your nerves — do not come here. Worst hotel experience
The shuttle service provided by DT transfer were unprofessional, intimidating and rude. The driver made us wait for more people to come in the van for 4 hrs until we left for the hotel. Something that the hotel claims has nothing to do with. ( Remember to know who is accountable for this as there are many dodgy people trying to make money for unnecessary reasons on the shuttle, we had already paid for the shuttle and the driver wanted us to pay again. During the 4 hrs we waited at antalya airport the driver offered us a drink. I thought it was a complimentary drink for waiting on other people, myself and others then chose a beer can to find out after he was demanding for us to pay for the beers when he was the one invited them. The driver had us all locked in the van and it was intimidating for everyone.( I leave here the number of his number plate so you are careful with who your shuttle driver is). At arrival at the hotel our room was not the one we were meant to have, the electricity kept on going off I think it was because of the appalling state the cables were connected as you can see from the picture. The menu was the same everyday and they did not even gave an option of pizzas or burgers. The nomad bar and the bar at hotel do not make cocktails, they only offer mojito and aperol which were of poor quality. The mojito was just some kind of syrup with fake alcohol. (Be careful with that in turkey) I was unwell after buying a bottle of vodka from the local shop near anjeliq hotel. The video promoting the hotel is deceiving and the 2 a la carte meals they offered us was a joke, at reception we were told the menu was liver shish kebab for the main course and when we asked if we can have something else they offered us fish. Of which we chose to travel to alanya restaurants to find proper food something we did every day on the last week of our holiday. The open showers at the beach are unsafe for kids and dangerous as they're not built accordingly as the picture shows.
