Exceptional Stay at Club Palm Bay Hotel, Sri Lanka Our day at Club Palm Bay Hotel was wonderfully memorable, perfectly balancing fun with profound peace and relaxation. The magnificent pool was a true gem, further enhanced by the gorgeous panoramic views surrounding the property. The hotel's team displayed unwavering professionalism and dedication, ensuring every aspect of our visit was seamless and comfortable. The property itself felt meticulously maintained, adding to the overall sense of ease. The culinary highlights included outstanding Hot Batter Prawns, a vibrant Fruit Platter, and an array of exquisite desserts. Service for food and beverages was impeccable. We highly recommend Club Palm Bay to all travelers in search of a harmonious and delightful holiday.
It's extremely great and cool. It's the most beautiful resort you can imagine. The nature inside and around the resort is spectacular. The kayaking experience was great. The staff are amazing. The breakfast was amazing (inc many veg and vegan options). The pool was amazing and you can relax besides it even after closing time (7 pm). The route was easily accessible without any issue. There's a tuk tuk taxi station right in front of the gate. The lunch was amazing. The rooms are with classic design and little old but clean and very beautiful with the most spectacular view. The downside is that there are many sports there but most of them need some fixing and replacement of equipment.
I wanted to share my experience at Club Palm Bay, Marawila, as it may be helpful for anyone considering a stay and looking for a quality experience. Our first impression was decent, but a few issues did affect the overall experience: We had booked four rooms in total. During check-in, we discovered that the key for one of the rooms was broken, and we had to wait around 15 minutes for a spare to be brought. While this might seem like a one-off issue, we noticed the key was already twisted, which could have caused the breakage. Upon entering the rooms, we found that two of the balconies had dead mice and a number of dead beetles. Ideally, the hotel should have thoroughly inspected and cleaned the rooms before handing them over to guests. If you're planning to visit with elderly guests, it's advisable to request rooms closer to the main facilities. We had to walk almost 1 km to reach the restaurant, which was quite inconvenient. The property is quite vast (30 acres as per hotel staff), which explains the distance between amenities, but it also highlights the need for better guest logistics. Additionally, the air conditioning in the rooms wasn't powerful enough for the room size. Thankfully, since we visited during the rainy season, we managed without much discomfort. On the positive side: The amenities were generally good The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options available This review is shared with good intentions, in the hope that it helps others and encourages the hotel to improve in a few key areas.
