All of the staff were incredibly helpful, kind and down to earth, cannot fault their them in that regard at all! Rooms was nicely appointed with a lovely rainfall shower that really hits the spot when waking up in the morning. Only gripe about the room was despite booking a Queen room, I had 2 twins pushed together which I usually hate, however, the usual ridge or gap was almost imperceptible and I slept across it happily! The food was good quality and very reasonably priced as was the bar which also offered a good selection of beer and cocktails. Service in the restaurant can be a little slow at busier times with only 2 staff for the entire front of house in the restaurant but they were both friendly and pleasant to interact with.
This hotel is in a beautiful location next to a golf course, some rooms offer garden view and course view, we was lucky to have both with our two night stay! The privilege rooms are spacious, have mini fridges, huge beds, baths with jacuzzi, complimentary goods and large TV, the standard rooms offer the same only showers and no mini fridge, both rooms were clean to a high standard. The staff are amazing! We had to change rooms for the two night stay we had, but Monique did her best to help in the possibility we could stay in the room we were on the first night, we couldn't but we were happy either way as both rooms were lovely! As was Monique The breakfast was amazing with a variety of choice from fruits, to fry ups to pastrys. We will definitely stay at a Mercure hotel if there's one in the area we are needing to stay! Thank you for making our stay amazing
We booked the Superior room which was such a good standard, it was very spacious, clean, refurbished to a really high standard , it had a fridge , robes and slippers and the bathroom was superb. Really welcoming staff on arrival could have not been more helpful and having the reggae music playing was a fab touch for the reggae weekend. We had breakfast on the Saturday and this went well however Dunday was a very different story . They need a much bigger breakfast area to accommodate people when you have a full hotel. The poor chef (I think it was one man) could only put bits of food out every so often as he clearly could not keep up with the numbers . They even ran out of apple juice very early on in the morning. It was such a shame as the day before it was so good with less people. Also note to management if they read this you need a policy of no pyjamas, slippers, sleepwear, dressing gowns in the breakfast area you need to turn those people away and tell them to dress appropriately.
