Cobblestone Cove

Perfect place to stay especially if your traveling solo and for a short period of time! It’s not an 5 star hotels so if your picky skip this one but it has everything you would need! its right along the beach staff is very nice and friendly. It’s very family oriented. I booked this hotel last minute and drove 7hrs straight and they told me it was fine to check in the morning! I would definitely stay here again

This hotel is a little older but what makes it great is the staff! Monica and everyone other staff member I encountered made me feel more than welcome. I ran into Monica the most though and she definitely went above and beyond to the point where I'll be staying here every trip to Grand Marais.

We gathered with family and rented 3 rooms. Each room were without at least 1 screen. There is no air conditioning. The view is great but 1 room’s large window you couldnt see out of. Large spiders are in all rooms. Carpets in all rooms felt disgusting on our feet. The bathroom in our room had no hot water 1 day, then they fixed it and it was stuck on very hot water and we couldn’t use it. The dry tile bathroom floor was slippery with my sandals so that I fell. The doors were sticky so that you had to slam them shut and force them open. The hall ceiling leaks and had a bucket the whole time by the vending machines, the ceiling tiles were torn and falling down. The catch basin for the ice machine was filthy. The staff was very nice. The deck chairs were unkempt, lots of seagull poop on the patio. Seagulls nest on the roof. I hope the longtime owner puts in some major repairs or sells it.
