Cobue Wine Resort & Spa

A small but well located little resort close to Lake Garda. A short drive to Sirmione and Desenzano del Garda. The staff are amazing and the grounds are truly spectacular. We stayed as a family in one large 2 bedroom apartment. We loved our stay and the peace and tranquility it provided. Since the hotel only has 6 apartments, you feel like you have the place to yourself. Will definitely stay here again.

We paid 60€ (30€ per person) for a wine tasting that included just four wines, each served at around 0.05L. The total retail value of the bottles was approximately 66€ — so we could have quite literally bought all four bottles ourselves for the same price. On the positive side, the location was modern, authentic, and visually appealing. The wines themselves tasted good and are generally sold at fair prices. We also received some olive oil with bread and a bottle of water, and the staff was polite and welcoming. However, the tasting took at least an hour for just four wines, and large parts of that time we were left alone with a short explanation but not much interaction. It wasn’t a full hour of guided tasting, but rather long pauses between short pours. While we appreciated the setting and the quality of the wines, the tasting experience itself felt out of proportion in terms of value.
