Coco Verde Bali Resort

The best accommodation we had in Bali! The location is perfect, close to all main sites in west/north Bali, but still in a peaceful surrounding with nature. We stayed here only for 3 nights, but wish we stayed more. The garden and pool area are very beautiful, as well as the rooms/bungalows. Everything is very clean, spacious and with good air conditioning. The breakfast was by far the best from all the places we stayed, even fancy hotels. Very tasty, portions are big, and there are enough choices for everyone (vegan/vegetarian). We also ate dinner here and it was very tasty. The staff is super friendly, including the owner who was always happy to chat and give recommendations on where to go/what to see. We will definitely come back and would recommend to everyone to stay here.

Overall has a nice stay at coco verde. The grounds of the resort are very nice with a swimming pool overlooking the rice fields. The restaurant area is well maintained also. Unfortunately as others mentioned the rooms are quite damp. There is condensation on the windows when waking up in the morning. The roof of the bungalow is thatched meaning it’s very noisy with insects, roosters etc outside. It would also be great if the pool was slightly cooler. It is really warm which doesn’t provide much respite from the intense sun! Also, the restaurant is about a 25-30. Min journey to Canggu.

I stayed for one out of three nights I booked. My room smelled damp and toxic from some type of paint they used, the AC wasn’t cooling the room enough and I wanted it at 21 degrees, nothing crazy. There is construction happening on the bungalow next door on the roof (not that much noise but still). Bath towels could be updated. I cancelled my stay after one night and got a refund for the rest as I couldn’t handle the dampness of the room and the smell of paint - it was giving me a headache and I struggled to sleep. Felt very uncomfortable over there. Nice grassy outside area, beautiful view, great pool with sun beds. No other coffee than black Balinese. Scooters available for rental and you’ll need them as the location is quite out of the way (but this is why I booked it). Not as quiet as you’d hope tho.
