It's an amazing hidden gem. The style is old fashioned but cool..the rooms are spacious and many face the oven with large balconies. It is literally on a beautiful windy beach. Kite surfing lessons and camels and other fun activities are on the beach within walking distance. Highly recommend. Next rime I'm in Mombasa I plan to stay here.

The rooms are overpriced, dirty and not cozy, the toliet was dirty on arrival 🤮,most of the faucets are rusted shut, the receptionist could be alittle bit friendlier. Alot of items are not available on the menu.

Avoid This Hotel – Terrible Experience Payment Dispute & Unprofessional Handling: The hotel website booking system did not work thus the hotel advised to book the room via Expedia which we did. Upon check-in, we were rudely asked to show a booking confirmation, despite having already confirmed our reservation via WhatsApp and Expedia weeks in advance. On the morning of Day 2, we were told we needed to pay. We again presented the Expedia receipt and in addition banking proof showing that payment had been made five weeks prior. Hotel management said they would “look into it” but gave no feedback. By Day 3, at check-out, we were once again accused of not paying. The hotel manager escalated the situation by closing the exit gate, physically preventing us from leaving, and using aggressive, inflammatory language. We were forced to double pay in order to leave for our onward journey. Shockingly, the hotel admitted this had happened to other guests before but had taken no proactive steps to prevent it. Misleading Photos & Poor Maintenance The property is in urgent need of renovation. The bathroom bin was rusty, fixtures were covered in limescale, and the in-room coffee machine had no capsules. When we requested coffee sachets instead, none were delivered. The fridge was unplugged, the lift was out of service, there was no in-room telephone to contact reception, and the building structure showed visible cracks and decay. Rude Management Despite Friendly Staff While three of the female staff members were friendly and helpful, the hotel manager and a staff member were rude and unprofessional, making blunt and accusatory statements such as: “I need to talk to you” and “You have not paid, you must pay”. This was a terrible experience that could have been avoided with proactive problem-solving from the hotel manager and reception. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
