Stayed at the Cohort Koukaki during our last few days in Greece. Service was very friendly and personal. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the stone walls made for a beautiful environment. Location was great! Very quick walk to the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum and Plaka! Also, an abundance of restaurants nearby. Parking lot across the street that opens early for early flights in the a.m. Overall, a great experience!
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location, just south of the Acropolis, was perfect—within walking distance of all the major attractions while still offering a peaceful and charming atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-equipped, featuring a small kitchen that made my stay even more convenient. The service was outstanding; the staff was always friendly, professional, and eager to help with recommendations or any requests. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again!
We booked the Deluxe Suite for three nights in March. The hotel was easy to find via taxi from airport, and we were dropped off right outside. We arrived at 9pm and, although there was no one at reception, we followed the self check-in instructions without issue. Our first impression was that it wasn’t quite as premium as we’d expected. While the accommodation was quite big and fine overall, it didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel. There are a few inaccuracies on Booking.com, most notably, it lists a 24-hour reception, but in reality, staff are only available via text and not physically present after 5pm. The air conditioning also wasn’t working. We were told it doesn’t get switched on until summer, but it was over 20°C and sunny during our stay, so the room felt very stuffy, especially for someone not used to southern European heat. The listing says the room has air conditioning, so this was disappointing, it didn't say it wouldn't be working. The view from the room was of barbed wire and rubbish, which wasn’t ideal. And because we had to keep the window open for air, the traffic noise made for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep and it smelt of pollution. The coffee supplied was also minimal- just a few pods for a three day stay. On the plus side, housekeeping was very good and attentive each day. While I wasn’t happy with the issues, particularly the misleading air conditioning claim, the receptionist did try her best to make up for it. She offered us a bottle of wine and a genuine apology, which we appreciated. Still, it was a shame to feel somewhat misled by the listing. The location though is excellent, only a few minutes walk from the main areas, and in a slightly quieter area, which we liked. I'd recommend the location definitely. One final downside - they cancelled breakfast a few days before we arrived, which was disappointing, although they did issue a partial refund.
