Hotel Aeminium Coimbra – A Cozy and Relaxing Bar Experience While I didn’t stay at Hotel Aeminium Coimbra, I did have the chance to experience its bar, and it was a lovely spot for a quiet evening. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with soft piano music playing in the background, creating a relaxed and intimate vibe. The bar menu offered a nice selection of food and drinks, making it a great place to unwind. I visited around 7:00 PM, and it was pretty empty, which worked perfectly for me. I found a cozy corner to get some work done while enjoying a glass of wine before heading home. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I will definitely return for a little R&R and a good glass of wine. I can’t speak to the hotel rooms, but if you’re considering a stay, know that the bar has a great ambiance—perfect for a relaxed evening. Looking forward to coming back and seeing how it feels at a busier time!

Great hotel, too bad that the rooms have terrible acoustic isolation - the walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbours chatting, what they are watching on tv… it’s surreal! Apart from that the rooms are super spacious, the breakfasts are top notch and the bar is very inviting.

The hotel puts on a grand face but our stay there for 1 night left us a little underwhelmed. The rooms were comfortable and clean enough but it just seemed to lack character. It’s in a good location close to Placa Mayor and the centre of the city where there are many restaurants and bars. Most of the cities major attractions are nearby except for the university which is at the top of a steep hill. But the most disappointing aspect was the breakfast service. We were part of a tour group and we were made to take breakfast in a separate room and not the main dining area. It just seemed like a temporary setup for additional people and it was not welcoming at all.
