Cold Creek Inn

Wonderfully located at the north tip of town, making it very easy to get to and leave from. If you come in that way it will be the first thing you see. Staff was so welcoming and accommodating. I was lucky to get one of the last remaining rooms for that night. The room was great, I loved the message on the wall about the sacredness of water, and yes the water in Mount Shasta is world class. Check out was quick and easy and they even allowed me a few extra minutes which I appreciated very much. Thank you and I hope to see you all again.

I enjoyed my recent 3 night stay at the Cold Creek Inn. It’s a very simple, basic little motel. All One level with handicap accessible ramp, as well as just a few stairs. Office is easy to spot from the parking lot and plenty of on-site parking available. The rooms itself are modest, clean and cozy. The AC and heat work great (I needed to use both), and the bathroom was spotless and shower was easy to use. The towels provided was enough for my entire stay. A plunger was provided for all the enormous craps I took. The tv was outdated, but had no issues using it. The window came with curtains, table and two chairs plus a microwave and fridge (along with coffee, tea, hot cocoa mix for two). There is a smoking area with some tables and chairs (and umbrella) perfect for your sister’s next intervention. The front office staff (a guy) was really nice when I was locked out from my own room. The following night when the same thing happened, the telephone number outside the office to call would always disconnect. Fortunately, I was able to get in my room about 15 minutes later. I can only imagine what it would be like if I couldn’t get ahold of the staff and it were winter outside. Front office staff should have an open office 24/7. That’s the luxury about staying in these types of accommodations. Right? At least it should be. All around I’d probably stay here again. I love how close to the train tracks this hotel was, along with how close everything was into town (both walking and driving). It’s a great motel if you want to be close to town or don’t have a car like myself. Rates were affordable for the peak summer time but did sell out the entire week I was there - so book early! Check-in was efficient and they authorized $100 for the entire stay on a credit card (just a heads up here). I enjoyed staying here because of their dedication to the environment. I like that the floors were not carpeted. That's a big yuck for me at most motels. I can't speak to the service because honestly I just put a do not disturb on my door as I go through my trainings because I don't want to waste the resources. I would come again.
