As usual, the Colgate Inn pretty much met all expectations. The location is perfect of course. The room was nice, but the only complaint I have.... and we didn't even say anything while we were there.... is that the sink in the bathroom didn't drain very fast, but not a real big deal as far as I was concerned. The best thing about the Colgate Inn is the people who work there. Ruth was fantastic. She bent over backwards to take care of all of our kids and grandkids for whatever they needed. Theresa and Jen were great... very sweet, smart, and professional. We had a large family reunion in Hamilton this past weekend and staying at the Colgate Inn made it so easy for us to get everywhere we had to go, walking or driving. And it's always nice to have a few beers in the tavern to finish off the day.
We came into town to visit Colgate University and were treated perfectly at the Colgate Inn. Room 20, with a porch overlooking the town Commons could not have been more perfect for my two daughters and me. The food at the tavern was excellent, after-dinner smores we lovingly prepared, and the kindness and attentiveness shown by ALL staff made it a memorable stay. Thank you Colgate Inn!!
The hotel has a great location close to Colgate. The staff was wonderful, especially Ruth. She was great with the girls staying there for camps and made sure they were taken care of! The rooms were very nice, but could have used a fridge. Would definitely stay here again!
