Colina Verde Resort

A Peaceful Algarve Escape situated in the East! We stayed at Colina Verde Resort as a family, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We had the upper appartment with garden view, we did not choose the pool view. The peaceful setting in the Algarve hills gave us the quiet we needed, while the spacious apartment made traveling with kids a breeze. My kids loved the pool! it was a daily highlight and big enough for both play and relaxation. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful, always ready with a smile or tip for nearby restaurants. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and kid-friendly base to explore the Algarve, Colina verde is spot on! October - Fantastic location if you like to have a little peace and quiet but still close to the coast and shops. Wonderful staff and spacious apartments. Enjoying the lovely pool throughout​ our stay. Also good tennis court, steam room and sauna. My husband has also used the gym which is large compared to most hotels. The golf course is closed for a bit of restoration but though a little scruffy at times, is a really fun little 9 hole course. Particularly good for beginners and very reasonably priced.

There are some good aspects to this hotel but the golf isn't one of them. The course is closed but there was no mention of this on the website. The greens are wrecked. The grass has been allowed to grow wild. It's a mess. You can play it for free. But bring plenty of balls. Otherwise the room was excellent. The pool is fine. So is the gym and tennis court. It's a very quiet and pleasant location. Just don't go for the golf.
